Kilcoy Courthouse Art Gallery – August Artist of the Month

Kilcoy Courthouse Art Gallery’s Artist of the Month are sisters Jan Russell and Patricia Lawrence for August 2026

Jan’s chosen genre is painting. She is self- taught and has been painting most of her adult life. Jan paints in various mediums; acrylic, oils and pastels and occasionally in pencil and pen and watercolour washes.

Patricia’s chosen genre is paper craft and woodwork. Pat is also self- taught and her speciality is craft of cardmaking. After moving to Kilcoy, she began using quilling to adorn cards, small pictures, animals, landscape and floral items. She started creating woodwork pieces more recently.
