Lake Somerset – The Spit

The Spit is one of Lake Somerset’s most popular and scenic picnic areas. With wide open grassy spaces, lakefront access and shady trees, it’s ideal for setting up a long, lazy lunch by the water.
You can swim straight off the edge, launch a boat or jet ski, or simply enjoy watching the activity on the lake while you relax on your picnic rug. With BBQs, toilets and plenty of room for kids to run around, The Spit is perfect for a full day picnic full of swimming and outdoor activities.
Cormorant Bay
