Begin your Somerset Art Trail in Fernvale, which displays when steam trains were introduced to Fernvale. These can be spotted at the Fernvale Visitor Information Centre Murals along the Brisbane Valley Highway and the Fernvale Memorial Park.

Continue on to Lowood, home to several stops on the art trail. Visit the Somerset Regional Council Office Mural on Michel Street, painted by Bronte Naylor to highlight the region’s rural surroundings.
A short walk away, visit the Clock Park Murals on Peace Street, a mural part of the Bushfire Recovery program by Nicholson Art Company to recognise bushfire resilience and recovery.
While in town, make time for the Lowood Folk Art Cooperative, a much-loved community space showcasing locally made crafts, artworks and handmade goods.

From Lowood, head towards Coominya, where art greets you as you arrive. Spot the Town entry Mural along Coominya Connection Road, a vibrant introduction to the charming country town. Continue into Coominya Park to spot the murals that highlight the area’s unique local culture and community pride.

Next, travel to Esk. Visit the Esk RSL Mural on Ipswich Street, a powerful artwork that honours service and remembrance. From here, stop by Nash’s Gallery and Café, set within a historic home and filled with arts, crafts and colourful creations by local artists. While in Esk, also stop by the Glen Rock Gallery located in the Esk Visitor Information Centre.

The trail continues to Toogoolawah. Seek out the mural next to the Fire Station on Cressbrook Street, a striking artwork that depicts fire recovery. Just a short walk away, explore the Two Galahs Gallery, showcasing paintings, pottery, jewellery and handcrafted works.
Round out your visit with a stop at The Condensery, an award-winning regional art gallery that features rotating exhibitions by living Australian artists.

As you make your way to Kilcoy, detour to Moore to visit the Supper Room Art Gallery, an eclectic gallery featuring fine art, photography, collectibles and antiques. Check their Facebook for opening hours.
Finish the mural trail in Kilcoy with the Kilcoy BP Service Station Mural on Hope Street, the Kilcoy Ambulance Station Mural and the Kilcoy Showground Mural at Woolmar.

Folk Art Cooperative Society | Lowood
The Folk Art Cooperative has been serving as Lowood’s showcase for locally made crafts, home cooking, produce and plants since 1981. Owned and managed by volunteer members, the shop sells a range of crafted goods as well as delicious homemade cakes, biscuits and preserves, all made by locals. Check their opening hours here. Glen Rock Gallery, located in the Esk Visitor Information Centre, showcases a variety of local artists with exhibitions changing monthly. Esk Visitor Information Centre is open between 9-4pm Tuesday to Friday and 9-2pm on Saturdays.

The Condensery | Toogoolawah
The Condensery Gallery is an award-winning regional art gallery housed in the historic 1920s Nestlé condensed milk packing shed. The gallery hosts regular changing exhibitions, along with a program of artist talks, workshops and art making activities throughout the year.
