Kilcoy Courthouse Art Gallery – September Artist of the Month

Linda Blackwell’s art journey started ten years ago with life drawing, moving to botanical art in pencil and then water colours. After five years she joined the Sunshine Coast Art Group (SCArt) and has received tutelage from both Don Woodley and Madeline Herbert, as well as attending regular workshops from other artists in Toowoomba, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

Linda’s passion is to capture the natural world in an impressionist style in water colour, oils or acrylics but is always interested in learning new techniques to develop her own artist style and treat her ongoing learning as a serious endeavour.
